Husband Abandons Mother Of Triplet- Govt Opens Bank Account For Her Mother+and+Triplets

The Nigerian mother of the triplets whose husband
ran away when the news of the birth reached him
last week has received assistance from her home
state, the Ogun State government.

Responding to many calls from the people and
good Samaritans, government has facilitated the
opening of a bank account for the woman to enable those who want to assist the woman and her children do so.

The account was opened with Sterling Bank with
the Account name: Akapo Taiwo Kehinde Idowu,
Account number: 0021422589, Sort code:
232170012. The state Commissioner for Women
Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Elizabeth
Sokunbi had led the government delegates to visit
the Afojupa village house of the mother of the
babies in Owode-Egba in Obafemi/ Owode local
government area of Ogun State with the traditional
ruler of Owode, Oba Kolawole Sowemimo.

The state government donated clothing materials,
babies’ needs as well as cash. Mrs. Akapo, expressed appreciation for the government gesture and also thanked the traditional ruler for his priceless support before and after she gave birth to the triplets.

She seized the occasion to appeal to her runaway
husband, who has not shown up at home since she delivered the babies, to come out of hiding,
especially now that government has offered
assistance for the welfare of the children.

The 30-year-old mother of five, Bosede Akapo was
assisted by a neighbour on a motorcycle to the
hospital on Wednesday, 24 July, 2013 when she was pressed with labour and thereafter delivered triplets at Ore-ofe Maternity Home in Owode-Egba town.

The monarch of the community paid the hospital bill.

Both the woman and her children are in good
condition, though, the head of the family.[PM
